Doane College is Nebraska's first private liberal arts institution. Doane serves 922 residential students on its 300-acre Crete campus, 700 nontraditional students in Lincoln and Grand Island, and approximately 1,300 graduate students in counseling, education, and management.

Ranked by U.S.News & World Report among the top 150 liberal arts colleges and named one of the best midwestern colleges by The Princeton Review Midwest, Doane offers bachelor's degrees in 42 areas, seven pre-professional programs, as well as three master's degrees. Doane has a 9:1 student/faculty ratio.
